The family of Russell McGee, who died at Green Haven Correctional Facility on September 17, 2023 – three days before he was to be released – has retained Hamilton Clarke, LLP to investigate his tragic death.
We are deeply concerned about the reports we have read and other information that we have seen concerning an ongoing problem with the timely availability of emergency medical services for people incarcerated at Green Haven Correctional Facility – a problem that apparently existed before Mr. McGee died.
We join the call of Senator Julia Salazar and others for an independent investigation into Mr. McGee’s death. His family deserves to know the full circumstances and whether his untimely death could have been avoided.
