Sustainablity Policy

Sustainability Policy

  1. Sustainable Procurement.
Hamilton Clarke is committed to purchasing products and services that are certified in sustainability. We are wholly focused on reducing – and where possible, outright eliminating – the use of consumables such as single-use plastic and paper, remaining digitally focused, and turning to plastic alternatives and reusables.

  2. Reducing Waste.
Hamilton Clarke stresses the importance of operating within a circular economy. At all times possible, waste material is reused rather than thrown into landfills. Further, we are wholly invested in multiple cloud-based documentation platforms to reduce the need for paper. We consciously make the effort to recycle not only paper, but also, many second-life use products such as light bulbs, batteries, ink and toner cartridges, and electronics.

  3. Employee Engagement and Sustainability.
Hamilton Clarke is committed to creating and maintaining healthy, happy workspaces to nourish our employees’ mental and physical health, with the primary goals of keeping them feeling good, productive, and focused. From green walls and natural light, to scenic window views overlooking Wall Street, our office serves as a rallying hub for employees to gather and collaborate on meaningful projects. Further, we offer a hybrid work schedule to break up the monotony of everyday Monday through Friday office life, with the additional environmental benefits of reduced commuting, while still prioritizing the positive social impact that interacting with peers has on workers.Holding a Mini Planet Earth in Their Hands

  4. Renewable Energy.
Hamilton Clarke is committed to utilizing renewable energy sources, conserving energy, and improving overall energy efficiency in order to reduce our overall carbon footprint and greenhouse gas emissions. From our use of smart thermostats, to behavioral conservation methods such as working with natural light in lieu of florescent lights, unplugging devices when not in use and regularly checking and maintaining systems, Hamilton Clarke is doing our part to preserve the world for generations to come.

  5. Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.
Hamilton Clarke is dedicated to highlighting, supporting, and recognizing underrepresented and non-majority groups internally through our hiring process, and externally with whom we choose to do business. At all times we are committed to the psychological safety of our employees, and seek to foster a sense of belongingness with all whom we work with or conduct business with. Indeed, as a minority owned firm, diversity is a cornerstone of our core values, and our goal is to collaborate and partner with diverse suppliers as often as possible. Whether we are looking for IT support, recruitment agencies, outside counsel, etc., we always ensure that diverse candidates are contacted and given an opportunity to bid for our work. This intentionality is part of our way of fighting back against systemic oppression as we recognize that not every person or business has the same opportunity awarded as others.
